Putting Clickatell Mobile Campaign Manager to Work: One2One

The Clickatell Mobile Campaign Manager is a suite of eight tools that provide a complete short message service (SMS)-based mobile marketing infrastructure. The other day I received a text message reminder from my dental office that I had an appointment coming up next week. This reminded me that I had a scheduling conflict and could not make the appointment, so I quickly called and rescheduled. Not only did this save the receptionist from tracking me down by phone, it saved me from a “missed appointment” fee and allowed the dental office to fill my spot.

This is a great example of a One2One or “reminder” campaign; one of the SMS tools you get with the Clickatell Mobile Communications Manager (CMCM).

With the CMCM, launching a One2One campaign is easy. First, log into the CMCM edit campaign screen where you can select One2One from the various campaign types.

Next, you schedule a blast using the “Schedule a Blast” screen. Here, you name the campaign and set the date and time. You can also set whether this is part of a conversation or the end of the conversation.

The next step is to choose which customer(s) gets the text messages. In this screen you can pick the exact customer(s) you want to include in this outreach. Now your campaign is ready to be sent at the appropriate time, although you can also change the time or even cancel the campaign.

One2One campaigns are ideal for SMS appointment reminders for doctors, dentists, auto service centers, spas and any business that is looking for a fast and easy way to send out reminders.
